Pas a Pas is an animation tool for the classroom that lets kids and teachers use the basic elements of stop-motion to teach and reinforce concepts in a range of subjects (math, physics, art). I love the look of this gadget, and its large size makes it easy for multiple kids to work with it simultaneously. It features an “assistant” mode, where kids place objects on the screen according to pre-set frames and patterns (which I’d have killed for when I was teaching animation in the classroom!) as well as a “director” mode, where kids can cut loose and make their own creations unbeholden to a predetermined plan. Its third mode, “collection,” enables kids to save their work and browse that of others. I’d love to be able to try one of these out! More info here.
